Wizkid was reportedly seen with Kenya R&B diva, Victoria Kimani, throughout his stay in Nairobi.
Nigerian international music star, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, was handcuffed and arrested by police over the weekend for smoking an illicit substance suspected to be marijuana in a non-smoking hotel – Crown Plaza – in Nairobi, Kenya, reports say.
The “show me the money” crooner, who had gone to Nairobi to shoot a music video as well as perform in a few shows, had lodged in the hotel where the illegal act allegedly took place.
According to Nairobi based medium, Standard Digital, the Nigerian music star was reportedly arrested when he was about checking out after it was discovered by one of the hotel staff that he had smoked an illegal substance which was suspected to be marijuana.
It was also reported that Wizkid was questioned by the hotel manager about the illegal act, which brought about much argument, before the hotel security called the police.
The whole incidence was said to have been witnessed by Victoria Kimani, a Kenya R&B diva, who had been visiting his hotel room even till the day he was checking out.
It was further reported that Wizkid was taken into police custody at Capital Hill police station with handcuff around his arms.
However all this happened after the artist had already paid a Sh50, 000 fine leveled against him by the hotel management.
Wizkid was later set free after sorting himself out at the police station.
