President Goodluck Jonathan is billed to visit Aba, Abia State and Owerri Imo State on Tuesday March 24th 2015.

During the visit the President is expected to inspect the Alaoji Independent Power Plant being built by the federal government as well as the Geometric Power Plant at Osisioma, a private power plant by Prof. Bart Nnaji.

According to Governor Theodore Orji who made this public when he received in audience at the Government House, Umuahia the chairman South East zone of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Archbishop David Eberechukwu, President Jonathan will also hold an interactive meeting with Abians at the Aba Sports Stadium and also address a town hall meeting at Owerri, Imo State the same day.

He disclosed that his administration has had a wonderful relationship with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and churches in the state, adding that he has shown love to the churches by returning secondary schools owned by the missions while their primary schools would soon be handed back to them.

The Governor disclosed that he has also given out buses to CAN in the state in addition to other gestures shown to churches across the state and assured that he will try to solve some of the problems of the South East CAN before leaving office.

Earlier, Archbishop Eberechukwu appreciated the Governor for distinguishing himself in office by his many achievements but lamented that the association has not been carried along in government activities especially during presidential visits and pleaded with the governor to redress the situation.
