Gunmen suspected to be hired killer have assassinated the Ughelli branch chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, (NBA) Barrister Austin Icheghe.
The incident was said to have happened on Thursday night at his 14 Ekredjebor residence in the presence of his family members.
It was gathered that the late Barrister was shot dead in front of his residence while alighting from his vehicle at the close of work.
His assailants were said to have accosted him and shot him on the head with the bullet damaging part of his face.
He was however confirmed dead at a private hospital in Ughelli where he was rushed to. As at the time of filing this report, no arrest has been made, but family source said that police have started investigation on the gruesome murder of the late NBA chairman.
