The Chairman, fund raising committee for Muhammadu Buhari Support Group, Mr Farouk Aliyu has boasted that the Rtd. Genenaral will scoop two million votes in Jigawa State while President Jonathan will get only one vote.
Aliyu who spoke to newsmen, Tuesday, in Dutse after the fund raising campaign added that the only vote President Jonathan will get in Jigawa will be that which will be casted by Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State.
He also accused Governor Lamido of double-speaking saying while he (Lamido) drums support for the reelection of President Jonathan in public, he also secretly asked the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, supporters to vote for Buhari.
He also warned the Governor to desist from making derogatory statements against Buhari openly as he (Buhari) has not done anything against the governor to warrant such cynical attacks.
“General Buhari has never talked about Sule Lamido in anyway, under whatever circumstances. Buhari is not his mate, he is far ahead of Lamido,” he said.
“It is only Lamido that can double talk, criticise even Jonathan he always claimed to be supporting by asking his supporters not to vote for him,” he added.
On how the money being donated by some Nigerians to fund Buhari’s campaign will be utilised, Aliyu said:
“The money realised from Nigerians through the sale of scratch cards will be used in hiring vehicles for campaigns, payment of agents during election as well as other logistic in support of the party.”
